Job summary

Travis Perkins plc is seeking a Yard Assistant to support daily yard operations and customer service across our branch network. You will help process orders, load and unload vehicles, and accurately log stock into the warehouse with safety at the forefront.

This role requires enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, and physical fitness to handle heavy stock in a dynamic outdoor environment. Training will be provided, with opportunities for development and progression.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer-facing role requiring enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors handling customer orders and loading/unloading vehicles.
• Unload building products from deliveries and record them in the branch warehouse.
• Operate a forklift where trained; full training is provided.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and comply with safety standards.
