Aqumen Recruitment is seeking an FLT Driver/General Operative for a busy plastic recycling and manufacturing site in Allerton Bywater. This role involves 80% production work and 20% warehouse tasks on a rotating 3-shift pattern, with a £13.72 per hour rate and temp-to-perm opportunities.

You will feed materials into recycling machinery, prepare plastics, move materials, and operate a forklift as needed. Training is provided, and weekends are typically off.

Qualifications

• Warehouse, factory or general operative experience.
• Physical, hands-on role experience.
• Previous forklift driving experience preferred.
• Valid FLT licence required.
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Ability to work all 3 rotating shifts.

3-shift rotation

You must be able to work all 3 shifts:

• 6am-2pm


• 2pm-10pm


• 10pm-6am

This is not a fixed-shift or days-only role.

The role

You'll be:

• Preparing plastic materials for processing


• Working around shredders, blenders and production equipment


• Moving and organising materials


• Carrying out general warehouse duties


• Using a forklift when required


• Keeping the work area clean and safe

We're looking for people with:

• Warehouse, factory or general operative experience


• Experience in a physical, hands-on role


• Some previous forklift driving experience


• Valid FLT licence required


• A reliable and safety-conscious approach


• Ability to work all 3 rotating shifts

You need to be comfortable spending most of your shift working on the production floor, rather than driving a forklift all day.
