Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is hiring for an FLT Driver/General Operative on a rotating 3-shift pattern at our Allerton Bywater site. The role combines production work on the shop floor with occasional forklift duties.

You will operate forklifts, feed materials into recycling machinery, move and organise materials, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The position starts on a temporary basis with potential for permanent hire.

Qualifications

• Warehouse, factory or general operative experience.
• Experience in a physical, hands-on role.
• Some previous forklift driving experience.
• Valid FLT licence required.
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Ability to work all 3 rotating shifts.

3-shift rotation

You must be able to work all 3 shifts:

• 6am–2pm
• 2pm–10pm
• 10pm–6am

This is not a fixed-shift or days-only role.

Aqumen Recruitment is looking for an FLT Driver/General Operatives to join a busy plastic recycling and manufacturing site in Allerton Bywater.

This is mainly a physical shop-floor role, with around 80% production work and 20% warehouse/FLT work.

The role

You’ll be:

• Feeding materials into recycling machinery
• Preparing plastic materials for processing
• Working around shredders, blenders and production equipment
• Moving and organising materials
• Carrying out general warehouse duties
• Using a forklift when required
• Keeping the work area clean and safe

We’re looking for people with

• Warehouse, factory or general operative experience
• Experience in a physical, hands-on role
• Some previous forklift driving experience
• Valid FLT licence required
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach
• Ability to work all 3 rotating shifts

You need to be comfortable spending most of your shift working on the production floor, rather than driving a forklift all day.
