Job summary

Riverside Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Fork Lift Truck Operator for a global manufacturing site in Penrith. You will operate FLT in a busy warehouse, loading, unloading and moving stock to keep production moving safely.

The ideal candidate has FLT experience and a current RTITB-accredited licence, and is willing to work a three-shift rotation (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am). In return, you’ll receive extensive training, 33 days holiday, pension, life cover and wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Operating an FLT safely around the site.

Are you an experienced FLT Driver looking for something long term?

We're recruiting an FLT Driver to join a well-established, global manufacturing business at its Penrith site during an exciting period of investment, development and growth.

With significant investment in new production lines, technology and manufacturing processes, the site is increasing capacity and continuing to develop its operation.

What will you be doing?

Working within a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment, you'll play an important role in keeping materials and production moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operating an FLT safely around the site
• Loading and unloading materials
• Moving stock and materials throughout the facility
• Supplying production areas with materials as required
• Moving finished goods into designated storage areas
• Carrying out routine equipment and safety checks
• Ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely
• Supporting general warehouse and production activities when required
• Following all site health & safety procedures

You must be able to work ALL THREE shifts. The shift pattern is non-negotiable.

This position operates on a three-week rotating shift pattern:

• Week 1: Mornings - 6am to 2pm
• Week 2: Backs - 2pm to 10pm
• Week 3: Nights - 10pm to 6am

Earn up to £15.59 per hour - equivalent to £32,427 per annum based on the highest shift rate and a 40-hour week.

What are we looking for?

Previous FLT experience is required and, ideally, you'll hold a current, in-date RTITB-accredited FLT licence.
