Job summary

Forged Solutions Group in Blaenavon is recruiting 2 Forge Auxiliary positions in our Rings Forges. You will join a close-knit team to produce products meeting customer specifications and KPIs for right first time, on time in full and productivity.

Key tasks include operating hydraulic presses/hydraulic hammers, rolling mills and tool changing, maintaining quality standards, and logging data in efacs. A proactive, safety-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hot forging/metal forming environment.
• Essential manufacturing industry experience.
• Flexible and reliable with good working practices.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic presses, hydraulic hammers, rolling mills, expanders and tool changing per SoP.
• Maintain required quality standards and log data in efacs.
• Raise non-conformance reports and notify line manager and quality dept.
• Engage in TPM and 5S daily activities to drive continuous improvement.
• Support health & safety culture and PPE compliance; perform safety checks.
• Undertake other tasks within capabilities across departments as requested.

Job description

We are currently recruiting 2 x Forge Auxiliary positions within our Rings Forges here at Blaenavon. The successful candidates will play an important part of a close team to produce products in line with customer demand that conform to Customer specification and to achieve departmental KPIs with respect to right first time, on time in full and productivity.

Key Tasks And Accountabilities

• To work within the Method of Manufacture and ensure the required quality standard is maintained at all times.
• To undertake supporting processes based on business need to support product production, including but not limited to, operating Hydraulic Presses / Hydraulic Hammers / Rolling Mills / Expanders/ Tool Changing in line with the relevant SoP.
• Completing/updating all in process documentation as required, recording key data and information in accordance with the relevant system and / or process, including but not limited to, logging production throughput data into efacs.
• To raise non-conformance reports through quality system, and report to line Manager and Quality Department.
• Encourage and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by performing daily TPM AND 5‘s activities
• Support and promote a Health & Safety culture by adhering to all aspects of Health & Safety including carrying out checks prior to start up and ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Undertake other tasks within capabilities, in any department across the business, as requested by the Manager / Supervisor.
