Job summary

Willingcare is seeking a Nursery Practitioner – Level 3+ in the UK. You will provide high-quality Early Years care and education, supporting children's development and leading outdoor learning activities in a Forest School setting.

The role requires a Level 3 EY qualification, experience in a nursery, and a passion for outdoor learning. Own transport is required due to the village location; salary is £27,900 per year with benefits including discounted childcare, pension, and training

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and child development.
• Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and Forest School experiences.
• Confidence supporting children across development stages.
• Ability to foster independence and school readiness.
• Warm, nurturing, child-centred approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Own transport due to village location.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and Early Years education throughout the nursery day.
• Create experiences around children's interests and developmental needs.
• Use age-appropriate resources to encourage exploration, creativity and independence.
• Support children as they develop new skills and become increasingly confident.
• Make outdoor learning a meaningful part of daily experiences.
• Make full use of the nursery's outdoor spaces and Forest School opportunities.
• Support pre-school children to transition to school with confidence.
• Observe progress and plan meaningful next steps.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards.
