Job summary

The North London Forensic Service at North London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join our experienced team on two wards within low security. You will deliver high‑quality care to complex patients and lead multidisciplinary teams to drive recovery‑focused outcomes across Chase Farm Hospital and Avesbury House.

We expect a strong clinician with GMC registration, leadership ability and a commitment to teaching, training and professional development within the Trust,

Qualifications

• Must have MBBS or equivalent qualification.
• Current GMC licence to practise at start date.
• Included on GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant leadership to multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality care to complex patients.
• Shape clinical practice and support transitions from hospital within low-security settings.
• Lead and participate in professional development, teaching and training within the Trust.
• Collaborate with North London Forensic Service in service improvement and audits.
• Work across Chase Farm Hospital and Avesbury House as part of the two-ward post.
