Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a full-time Clinical Lead Nurse on Oakwood, our locked forensic rehabilitation ward. You will join a multidisciplinary team supporting care for patients with learning disabilities and/or autism, helping drive service development and clinical governance.

The post requires 18 months post-qualifying experience with preceptorship/competency sign-off, and you will oversee roster management, care planning and staff development.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (RMNH/RNLD).
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, or willing to achieve within 6 months.
• Trained in Clinical Supervision or willing to work towards within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to support the Team Manager and provide clinical oversight.
• Roster management, care planning, quality improvement and staff training/development.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship and guidance to less experienced staff and students.
• Be flexible to work across a 7-day week and 24-hour period as required.
