Job summary

BMDIs UK, part of the BMD Group, is seeking a full-time Foreman to lead on-site construction teams across the UK. You will supervise daily operations, subcontractors, and plant machinery, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery while upholding quality and RAMS compliance.

The role requires weekly travel and site presence, with a focus on coordinating discipline trades, monitoring progress, and maintaining health and safety standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive site-based civil engineering experience.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification required.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision of crews, plant, and earthworks for infrastructure projects.
• Conduct inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talks to maintain HSE standards.
• Plan and schedule work activities to meet project specifications and drawings.
• Track progress and record daily site activities for site managers.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to RAMS and drawings.

We require a Foreman to join our team on a permanent basis. We have projects across the UK ranging from roads & highway upgrades, bridges, water treatment plants etc.

Candidates that are interested in this role must be able to travel and stay away throughout the week.

Job Summary and role description:

This is a full-time site-based role for a Foreman who will lead on-site construction teams, supervising daily operations, subcontractors, and plant machinery to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will act as the bridge between management and operatives, focusing on quality control, adherence to technical drawings, and rigorous health and safety compliance (RAMS)

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision: Managing crews, plant, and materials for earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure projects.

Health & Safety: Conducting inductions, daily briefings, and tool box talks to maintain strict HSE standards.

Operational Planning: Scheduling work activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.

Progress Monitoring: Tracking progress and recording daily site activities for site managers.

Extensive site-based civil engineering experience, in civil engineering.

Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).

SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS certification.
