Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is recruiting an experienced Foreman / Senior Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a programme of infrastructure works at Gatwick Airport.

The role focuses on day-to-day supervision of site activities and operatives across civil works within a live airport environment, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while coordinating labour, plant and materials and delivering toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Foreman or Senior Foreman within civil engineering.
• Experience managing civils and groundworks activities.
• Experience across drainage, utilities, concrete works, excavations, external works, demolition or enabling works.
• Confident supervising direct labour and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of RAMS and site health & safety requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Airport/airside experience is advantageous but not essential.
• CSCS/CPCS qualifications and SSSTS/SMSTS

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors.

• Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.

• Maintain high standards of health & safety and site organisation.
• Take responsibility for allocated areas and packages of work.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman / Senior Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a programme of infrastructure works at Gatwick Airport.

The role will involve taking responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of site activities and operatives across a range of civil engineering works within a live airport environment.

Projects will include infrastructure alterations and extensions, demolition and enabling works, external works and upgrades to existing operational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors.

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of civils works on site.

• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

• Coordinate labour, plant and materials.

• Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.

• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures.

Airport Security Requirements:

Due to the location of the works, the successful candidate will need to complete the required airport security clearance process, including a DBS check and satisfactory five-year employment/referencing history.
