Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading contractor delivering building and civil engineering projects at Gatwick Airport. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, programme, budget and quality across diverse schemes including civils, building works and M&E installations.

With airport experience and a strong grasp of RAMS, permits and site documentation, you will coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers while leading toolbox

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction or civil engineering.
• Background across civils, building works and ideally M&E installations.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades on site.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety, quality assurance and programme management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Relevant site management qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
• Experience in airport, infrastructure or live operational environments is advantageous.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading construction contractor delivering a range of building and civil engineering projects across established frameworks at Gatwick Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile Site Manager with a broad construction background, ideally covering civil engineering, building works and mechanical & electrical (M&E) installations. The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of a varied portfolio of works within a busy, operational airport environment.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing site activities across a variety of building, civils and associated M&E projects.
• Coordinating subcontractors, direct labour, suppliers and site resources.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and airport requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction or civil engineering sector.
• A varied project background covering civils, building works and ideally M&E installations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site.
• A strong understanding of health and safety, quality assurance and programme management.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver works in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Relevant site management qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
• Experience working within an airport, infrastructure or other live operational environment would be advantageous.
