Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to cover in Central London (Zones 1-2) on a Foot Mobile basis. You will service and maintain mechanical plant, perform PPM and reactive tasks across multiple commercial buildings, and support other engineers as needed.

The role requires City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, optional F-Gas qualification, and a proven track record in building services maintenance.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Level 2 and 3.
• F-Gas qualification desired.
• JIB Gold Card (or equivalent).
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain mechanical plant incl AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors.
• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Assist other engineers and supervise sub-contractors as required.
• Ensure log books are kept up to date.

Job description

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Plumber - FM Service Provider - Foot Mobile / London Portfolio (Zones 1&2) - Up to £45,000

Exciting opportunity to work for a family run FM service provider situated in London. CBW are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to cover in the region of circa 10-15 commercial buildings located in Central London (Zones 1&2) on a reactive basis. The successful candidate will be Mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, installation and testing & inspection.

This is a Foot Mobile position and will require the successful candidate to attend a number of sites where he or she will be required to carry out PPM/Reactive maintenance to mechanical and electrical plant with particular emphasis on mechanical maintenance. In return the company is offering a competitive salary paying up to £45,000 per annum based on experience/qualifications, overtime and further training.

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (servicing, filter changes, cleaning)
• Pumps, Motors & general mechanical plant maintenance
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds etc)
• Remedials
• Small Mechanical Installations
• Carry out PPM's & Reactive maintenance
• Ensuring log books are kept up to date
• Escorting specialist sub contractors
• Assisting other engineers
• Offering technical support

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 17:00pm

Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Level 2 & 3
• Air Conditioning / Refrigeration qualification (F-Gas desired)
• JIB Gold Card (or equivalent)
• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• An understanding of commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• You must be happy to work on a "Foot Mobile" basis and attend multiple sites (i.e. this is not a mobile role where a vehicle is provided)
