We are currently recruiting a Foot Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repair services across multiple sites within London. This role requires excellent technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by Helpdesk team, including fault finding, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
- Ensure routine maintenance is performed on all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and service level agreements.
- Work on single and three-phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems, and other electrical duties.
- Produce detailed technical quotations, including parts and labour, to ensure profitability, cost control, and client satisfaction.
- Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
- Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with a skilled team to achieve client objectives.
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient operation of plant/area without disruption.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working on single and three-phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems, and other electrical duties.
- Strong fault-finding skills on various electrical plant and systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
- Experience with traditional and modern electrical systems.
- Ability to work safely and diligently.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installation / Maintenance or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE.
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of building services engineering.
- Testing and Inspection certification preferred.
- Understanding of Electricity at Work regulations.
- Knowledge of BMS, generators, control systems, lighting systems, and ACOPS L8.
- IPAF/PASMA certification beneficial.
