Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Food Technology teachers to work in secondary schools across Rochdale and Greater Manchester. We have opportunities for daily supply and long-term placements, with competitive rates of pay, flexible working options, free CPD and dedicated support from our in-house team.

You'll teach Food Technology at KS3 and GCSE, bringing knowledge of nutrition, food science and practical cookery.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and GCSE levels.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, food science and practical cookery.
• Confidence managing kitchens, equipment, allergens and food safety procedures.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• References that support your Food Technology teaching experience.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Teach Food Technology to KS3 and GCSE students.
• Deliver engaging lessons and manage practical cookery sessions.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Ensure health and safety in food rooms and kitchens.
