Job summary

Reepham High School and College is seeking a dedicated Food Technician for its Food Technology department to ensure teaching kitchens and equipment operate to a professional standard. You will prepare the food room for lessons, demonstrations and investigations, supply ingredients, and manage stock while ensuring hygiene and safety throughout activities.

You will provide technical guidance to pupils, support GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition, and contribute to safeguarding compliance.

Qualifications

• Prepare food room for lessons and demonstrations.
• Support GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition requirements.
• Manage procurement of fresh ingredients and inventory.
• Provide technical guidance to students and maintain hygiene standards.
• Ensure safety and compliance with CLEAPSS and Food Standards Agency guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for introductory sessions and student practicals.
• Support lessons with Food Technology demonstrations and investigations.
• Deliver 2.5 hours of KS5 enrichment sessions at instructor rate (Cooking on a Budget).
