Job summary

First For Education is partnering with a high-achieving Tipton school to recruit a dedicated Food Technology teacher for the new academic year. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5, applying strong practicals and safeguarding best practices in a supportive environment.

The role is full-time and long-term, suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking development within a high-achieving secondary setting. A competitive daily rate applies, with PAYE paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4
• Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Flexible and adaptable teaching approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3–KS5 in Food Technology
• Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure pupils stay engaged and on task
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
