Job summary

KPI-Recruiting-Ltd in Nantwich seeks a Specifications Technologist for a 6-month FTC to manage product specs, declarations and artwork. You will ensure regulatory compliance and respond to customer queries with accurate data.

The role requires strong knowledge of food legislation, labeling and technical customer requirements, with excellent communication and analytical skills to support internal standards and retailer expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of product specifications, artwork systems and industry codes of practice.
• Experience in a technical, specification or quality role within the food industry.
• Good understanding of customer and retailer specification systems and portals.
• Strong knowledge of food science, manufacturing processes and food safety.
• Experience managing technical customer requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage and approve product specifications to meet internal standards, customer requirements and relevant legislation.
• Prepare accurate ingredient declarations, nutritional information and allergen data in line with product and customer requirements.
• Generate and review accurate, legally compliant packaging and label copy.
• Review and approve artwork, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and adherence to agreed guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product specifications, technical data and records across relevant systems
• Respond to customer queries relating to product specifications, technical information and artwork, providing clear and timely resolutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current food legislation, labelling regulations and relevant technical/customer requirements.
