Northwood is seeking a dynamic Support Services Supervisor for the Bedford team. The role provides supervision and performance management to staff, ensuring adherence to work routines and care standards.

You will oversee meal service, sanitation, training, safety, and coordination with clinical dietitians, with responsibilities across environmental services, laundry, and food services; regular attendance is essential.

Qualificações

• Diploma or degree in Food Service and Nutrition Management; three to five years of relevant work experience considered if no college diploma.
• Advanced Food Safety Certificate.
• Must be eligible for CSNM membership; current membership is an asset.
• Knowledge of special diets and long-term care nutrition is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise meal distribution, delivery, presentation and sanitation in service areas and production area.
• Oversee meal service to residents and ancillary services to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Ensure residents receive special diets and supplements as required.
• Coordinate with clinical dietitians on resident care plans and nutrition decisions.
• Manage materials, wares, foods and equipment to meet operational and fiscal needs.
• Maintain proper food handling techniques and service standards.
• Monitor food quality through tests of taste, texture and temperature, and take corrective action as needed.
• Ensure equipment sanitation and safe chemical storage per WHMIS standards.
• Contribute to departmental policy drafts and work routines.
• Assist with menu development and product selection.
