FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT
SACO SCHOOL NUTRITION PROGRAM
SACO MIDDLE SCHOOL

Saco Middle School kitchen is looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our team, preparing and serving children nutritious and appealing meals! Prepare fruit and veggies, assist Cook/Manager with lunch prep and serving, assist with the Point of Sale system.

Qualifications:

• School foodservice experience preferred but not required
• Current State of Maine Criminal History Records Check

Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• Ability to properly and safely operate kitchen equipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
• Ability to assist with putting away weekly deliveries and rotate inventory

SCHOOL YEAR POSITION – 4 HRS PER DAY, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
