Join Sodexo as a Food Service Assistant at Exeter School, Victoria Park Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 4NS , where you'll play a vital role in our fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will support our chefs in the daily preparation and service of food, maintain hygiene standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience.

Hours: hours per week

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (not Sundays)

8am-3:30pm with Saturday work to cover sports fixtures/school hospitality excluding Sundays

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**

What You'll Do:

Support the Front of house team in various tasks, Serving food and drinks, delivering catering services around the school and assisting with hospitality and events.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all catering areas.

Assist in the preparation and service of meals and refreshments in accordance with the menu.

Help with the setup and clearing of dining areas and dishwashing areas.

Engage positively with students and staff, promoting a welcoming dining atmosphere.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.

What You Bring:

Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role, preferably in a school or large-scale food service environment.

A passion for food and food service, coupled with a desire to contribute to a positive dining experience for students and staff.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

An understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Flexibility and a willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.
