Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join the team at Belfast International Airport, Antrim. You will work as part of a friendly, family-oriented team delivering high-quality food service to customers during varied shifts.

The role requires previous food handling experience, strong hygiene standards and a proactive, can-do attitude. Full-time hours are 37.5 per week with an emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, friendly service to customers and assist with all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
• Comply with HACCP and health, safety & hygiene standards.
• Maintain a hygienic and tidy environment; ensure tables, accompaniments and counters are kept clean and adequately supplied during service.
• Check deliveries and food temperatures, complete records and operate the till as required.
• Report defective equipment/utensils/work surfaces or any health and safety issues to the Line Manager.
• Communicate effectively with the team at all levels; work well both independently and in a team.

The Role:

• Working as part of a team, you will provide an efficient and friendly service to customers, assisting as directed with all aspects of food preparation and presentation to high quality standards.
• Comply with all HACCP (Hazard analysis of critical control points) regulations as necessary andall Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Maintain a hygienic and tidy environment; ensure tables, accompaniments and counters are kept clean and adequately supplied throughout the service period.
• Check deliveries and food temperatures, completing records and operating the till as required.
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues etc. to your Line Manager
• A close working relationship with the team is important to these roles. It is essential that you can work as part a team, as well as on your own and can communicate effectively at all levels.
