Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team at NESCol City Campus, AB25 1BN. You will perform basic food preparation, sandwich making, and front-of-house duties including tills and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and deliver friendly service.
• Good communication and basic math for till handling.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers following brand standards.
• Perform basic cold and hot food preparation and make-to-order sandwiches.
• Take payments and keep financial records as required.
• Restock goods and ensure attractive product displays.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house and front areas.
• Follow health and safety procedures and attend training as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning,presentationand combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot sandwiches in line with Aramark brand standards
• Take payment and keep financial records asrequired
• Restock goods and ensureappropriate displaysof merchandise
• Clean back of house areas, crockery and cutlery using equipment when trained to do so
• Clean and tidy counter, lightequipmentand public areas
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages,faultsor hazardsidentifiedduring the course ofthe work
• Perform daily paper/computer work she/he is assigned
• Keeps diligent records asrequired
• Follows food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements
• Undertake relevant training asrequired

Key Requirements:

• Previouscatering experience preferred, but not essential
• Customer service experiencerequired
• Ability to work as part of a team
