Job summary

INDEXE is seeking a detail‑oriented Production Operative to support food quality testing in our taste lab. You will weigh samples, inspect appearance and taste, verify batch codes and record results while handling products up to 12kg.

The role includes full training, a Sunday/Monday shift pattern, and opportunities to increase hours during leave cover. Own transport is essential due to location.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production or quality testing is advantageous.
• Full training will be provided.
• Must be able to read and write English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Receive and weigh food samples accurately.
• Conduct quality inspections for appearance and taste.
• Verify batch codes and related information for accuracy.
• Manually move boxes up to 12 kg repeatedly.
• Load products into incubators when required.
• Use basic tools such as can openers and Stanley knives during testing.
• Maintain records and follow testing procedures.
• Identify and report quality concerns promptly.
• Keep the work area clean and compliant with food safety standards.
