Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join the taste lab in West Devon, supporting testing and quality checks of food products. Pay is £13.07 per hour with a start date of Monday 7th September and an expected duration through January with potential extension.

Own transport is essential due to the location. The role requires accuracy, reliability and physical fitness, with full training provided during the first week.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Able to handle food products safely and follow procedures.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 12 kg repeatedly.
• Able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately weigh food samples.
• Conduct quality inspections of food products (appearance and taste).
• Verify product batch codes and information for correctness.
• Handle and move boxes weighing up to 12 kg.
• Load products into incubators as required.
• Use basic tools safely during testing.
• Maintain records and follow testing procedures.
• Identify and report quality concerns promptly.
• Keep the work area clean and compliant with food safety standards.
