Job summary

Greencore Desserts Newark is seeking a Technologist to provide technical expertise to customers, suppliers, and the business, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will support the technical leadership team with data, filing, and change management, and help drive allergen management and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the food industry.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ideally knowledge of QM Systems.
• HACCP, TACCP, Food Safety Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Quality Systems for the business unit / site, including internal audits and relevant legislation.
• Provide service and support to the technical leadership team with data entry, filing, and change management.
• Support allergen management by updating risk assessments with new ingredients and products.
• Analyse trends, escalate issues to the technical leadership team, and drive improvements.
• Develop technical systems to meet business, customer, and industry standards.
• Ensure professional customer interface and timely responses.
• Contribute to customer audits and visits, leading expert areas.
• Communicate site governance information to stakeholders.
• Conduct internal QMS audits, track actions and nonconformances, and liaise with management.
• Coordinate with NPD on changes for launches, delists, and promos to avoid disruption.
• Support other technical team members and participate in projects as needed.
• Promote health & safety and drive continuous site improvements.
