Job summary

Castle Employment Agency Ltd is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a shift team in the safe and efficient manufacture of products meeting food safety standards. You will drive planning, training and resource allocation, ensuring all outputs meet technical and quality requirements.

You will report to the Operations Manager, supervise up to 6 line leaders and 25 operatives, and contribute to safety, GMP, and KPI targets through effective leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities within fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, HACCP and food safety practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and food safety leadership to the team.
• Ensure all products meet customer technical & quality requirements.
• Plan efficiently and organise resources to hit the plan.
• Deliver training and gap analysis for staff to improve performance.
• Recruit, train and allocate resources to all tasks.
• Update plans and take corrective action to meet the plan.
• Recommend improvements to processes, equipment and documentation.
