Job summary

Castle Employment Agency Ltd is seeking an experienced Shift Manager for a day shift at a Wetherby-based food manufacturing site. The role leads a small team and owns shift performance on a 6am-6pm rota, with a permanent contract and a salary of £50,000-£65,000 DOE.

You will manage people, safety, quality and lean improvements daily, ensuring GMP, HACCP and allergen controls are upheld; monitor KPIs, drive root cause analysis and training, and report to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a shift in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and allergen controls.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the shift team.
• Deliver production plans safely and efficiently.
• Maintain food safety, quality and GMP standards.
• Manage labour, resources and training requirements.
• Monitor operational and production KPIs.
• Investigate issues and support root cause analysis.
• Drive improvements across processes, equipment and training.
• Ensure products meet customer and technical requirements.
