Job Opportunity: Food Production Operative in Nailsworth

ESS Employment Ltd is seeking a Food Production Operative to join our client's team in Nailsworth. This role offers full training and is ideal for enthusiastic team players interested in working in a clean room environment handling food products.

Details

• Location: Stroud
• Salary: £11.44 per hour
• Working Hours: Mon – Thurs 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–15:30
• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract: 3-month contract with potential to become permanent

Responsibilities

1. Maintain hygiene operations, including cleaning equipment and waste management
2. Handle and prepare food products
3. Keep the work area clean and tidy
4. Work within cold storage areas as required
5. Follow all site rules after induction
6. Wear PPE and clean room gear at all times, including disposable hair net, beard net (if needed), coat, gloves, and disposable covers for trainers and shoes
7. Be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg occasionally
8. Show enthusiasm and willingness to learn
9. Understand and adhere to food safety standards, including temperature control and preventing cross-contamination
10. Complete traceability paperwork accurately

1. Weigh vegetables, herbs, and spices
2. Perform mixing and blending duties
3. Pick, pack, and dispatch products
4. Prepare boxes for delivery
5. Pack bags for delivery
6. Carry out general production duties
