Job summary

Ethero Ltd is seeking a production operative for the meat processing line in the East Midlands. You will prepare raw meat products, add ingredients, pack and label, and ensure hygiene and food safety across duties.

Shifts: Mon-Fri 07:00-17:00 or 16:00-01:00. Minimum lifting up to 20kg, cold conditions, and teamwork are expected. Right to work in the UK will be checked.

• Experience in the food industry, especially with raw meat (pork, beef, poultry), is preferred.
• Comfortable working in cold conditions for approximately 9 hours daily.
• Physically fit to handle lifting up to 20kg.
• Flexible with working hours, as shifts may vary depending on the department.
• Teamwork-oriented with a strong work ethic.

• Working on the production line, preparing raw meat products such as chicken, pork, beef, lamb.
• Adding ingredients, packing, and labelling products.
• De-boxing primals onto tables and placing them into trays.
• Handling heavy lifting tasks and rotating tasks with the team.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Job description

Key Duties:

• Working on the production line, preparing raw meat products such as chicken, pork, beef, lamb.
• Adding ingredients, packing, and labelling products.
• De-boxing various meat primals onto tables.
• De-bagging primals and placing them into trays.
• Lifting boxes from pallets to the de-boxing area (up to 20kg).
• Disposing of empty boxes and bags into rubbish skips.
• Collecting clean trays from the tray wash area.
• Handling heavy lifting tasks as required.
• Rotating tasks with the team to ensure efficient operation.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Collaborating effectively in a team environment.

Pay rate: £12.91 per hour; OT after 45 hours: £19.37

Any lawful deductions will be explained clearly before engagement. Statutory deductions such as Tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions (where applicable) will apply.

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday

07:00 to 17:00

OR

16:00 to 01:00
