Job summary

Albert Bartlett is recruiting for Production Line Support Operatives at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role follows a 4 days on, 4 days off rolling shift, with working hours from 06:00 to 18:00.

The rate of pay is £14.23 per hour, and you will help ensure production lines run smoothly, safely and to specification. Responsibilities include line start-up checks, cleanliness, CCP safety checks, quality checks on labels and packaging, calibration of

Qualifications

• Food safety awareness is essential for line operation.
• Attention to detail is required for quality checks.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when needed.
• Proficient in standard office software and record keeping.
• Strong organisational and planning skills for shift-based work.
• Good problem-solving abilities and prioritisation across tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily line start-up checks prior to starting production.
• Ensure line areas are clean and ready for production.
• Carry out safety checks with x-rays and hourly CCP checks.
• Conduct label, date, foil, packaging and printing quality checks.
• Collect labels or film samples as specified in the job sheet.
• Ensure probes and scales are calibrated prior to use.
• Assist production team leader and QA as requested.
• Complete production documentation prior to QA inspection.
• Ensure paperwork is completed and handed to QA.
• Support a small team and follow SOPs to maintain a safe environment.
• Report breaches of company policy and safety procedures promptly.
