The Food Operations Support Manager plays a key role in supporting healthcare sites to ensure operational consistency, compliance, and training across multiple locations.

Job Description

This role is essential in empowering site teams to meet operational standards, managing key functions such as training, stock management, financial close processes, and compliance checks.

The Food Business Support Manager also provides seamless operations during site manager absences or holidays, assisting sites in achieving their daily and weekly goals.

By overseeing site-level processes, this role drives accountability, efficiency, and quality, ultimately supporting overall business performance and maintaining operational integrity across the healthcare network.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct hands-on training sessions for site teams on operational processes, compliance, and stock management standards.
  2. Ensure sites adhere to food safety, health, and safety regulations by conducting regular checks and providing guidance on corrective actions.
  3. Support sites in completing weekly financial books accurately, including expense tracking and revenue reconciliation.
  4. Guide sites on inventory best practices, overseeing stock counts and ensuring accurate stock records to control costs and reduce waste.
  5. Step in to maintain operational consistency and quality standards during site manager absences, holidays, or transitions.
  6. Provide operational support for new site launches, ensuring teams are trained and processes are in place for a smooth opening.
  7. Track site-specific performance indicators, providing feedback and support to meet operational targets.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  1. Background in food service or retail, with experience managing stock, compliance, and basic financial tasks at a site level.
  2. Strong ability to deliver and reinforce training on operational procedures, compliance, and standards.
  3. Able to handle multiple sites and maintain strict control over processes such as stock management, book closing, and compliance.
  4. Capable of working independently to provide hands-on support across diverse site needs, with flexibility to cover various operational roles.
  5. Effective at building rapport with site teams, understanding their challenges, and providing solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
