Job summary

Langshott Manor Hotel, part of Alexander Hotels, is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Operations Manager to support the General Manager and lead a dedicated team of 25 across The Mulberry Restaurant, St Peter Bar, Conference & Banqueting, Room Service, Terraces and Lounge Service.

You will ensure consistent delivery of high guest service standards across all F&B areas, drive service excellence, supervise staffing, training and system adherence, and contribute to the hotel’s ongoing

Qualifications

• Previous quality food and beverage management experience within the 4/5 star hotel market.
• A CV showing a bias towards Food and Beverage experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High standard of personal presentation.
• Confident, professional, and welcoming personality.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, coach and motivate hospitality teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, giving direction and leadership to the team.
• A self-motivated, driven, results orientated, and proactive attitude is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both for internal and external communication.

• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing for revenue targets.

Food & Beverage Operations Manager

Langshott Manor Hotel, Ladbroke Road, Horley, Surrey, RH6 9LN

£32,000 to £35,000 per annum plus monthly service charge payment

A great opportunity for someone with food and beverage management experience to progress within operations of this luxury hotel group. The role would ideally suit someone wanting to develop into an Operations/Deputy Manager role.

The Role

We are seeking an F&B Operations Manager to support our General Manager, Adam Hulme, with the smooth day to day running of the hotel along with a dedicated team of full time and casual team members. Langshott Manor is a small luxury hotel so you would be out in the operation working with the teams.

You will be responsible and accountable for all food and beverage service areas including The Mulberry Restaurant, St Peter Bar, Conference & Banqueting, Room Service, Terraces, and Lounge Service. Your focus will be the consistent delivery of high standards of guest service across all F&B operational areas. You will be supported by a F&B Guest Services Manager and overall managing a team of 25 employees.

In the General Managers absence, you will also take responsibility for ensuring the smooth operation of Housekeeping and Front of House departments offering you the opportunity to really influence the continued future success of the hotel. Indeed, on an ongoing basis as head of the Duty Management team you will be involved in supporting all departments across the Hotel.

The key areas of focus will be:

• Service delivery – ensuring the food and beverage product & service continue to delight our guests and meet the requirements of our 4 Star status, 2 Rosette Dining and Mystery Guest standards.
• Planning/Resourcing – ensuring the effective use of resources, staffing, stocks and effectively direct the departments to efficiently plan and deliver excellent service based on business levels in the hotel.
• Operations – through effective supervision, guidance and control ensuring that the present and future operation is ready to deliver success on its objectives. You will also be heading up and working as part of the Duty Management team at the Hotel.
• Systems – ensure all systems are operational (with the support of our Group IT Manager) and that all staff are trained and adhere to the operating standards of use.
• Staffing and Performance Management – ensure that through selection, recruitment, training and coaching the very best standards of staff are maintained and developed. Making sure that each person within the team receives the guidance and feedback necessary to be successful and operate in a safe way meeting current company and legal requirements.
• Revenue Management – Ensuring all in-house opportunities for sales are taken and liaising with Group Sales, Marketing and Revenue Managers to ensure financial targets are met.
