Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join a friendly hotel team in the Cambridge area. You will deliver welcoming service to guests, gain product knowledge in food and wine, and assist with upselling to maximise revenue. Regular shifts include mornings/evenings and weekends, with career development opportunities through the Dalata Academy.

Fluent English and prior hospitality experience are preferred, and employees benefit from meals on duty and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is essential.
• Flexibility in working hours including mornings/evenings & weekends.
• Experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Experience in a hotel is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine; be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Serve guests with food and beverage.
