Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport is hiring a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Truly Talented team at Manchester Airport. You will deliver friendly service in a fast-paced setting and support the F&B leadership team to ensure guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include preparing beverages, setting tables, taking orders, maintaining cleanliness, and having knowledge of the menu. You will work flexibly across mornings, evenings and weekends in a welcoming hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving beverages requested by guests.
• Ensuring tables are set and ready for guests.
• Taking and executing guests' orders in a timely manner.
• Maintaining cleanliness in Food & Beverage outlets.
• Having good knowledge of the menu.
• Responding to guests’ questions on the menu and wait times.
• Communicating special requests to the teams accordingly.

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Assistant will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.
