Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Food and Beverage Team Member for Eastbourne Gardens Care Home in Eastbourne, East Sussex. You will assist residents with meal choices and maintain tidy dining spaces while replenishing foods and beverages throughout the day to uphold high service standards.

You will join a caring team, demonstrate strong personal hygiene, and adhere to dietary needs. A DBS check and right-to-work in the UK are required; the role offers growth within Avery's care home

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Show compassion and commitment to delivering culinary services to residents.
• Experience in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel is desirable.
• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with choosing meal options at dining times.
• Ensure dining tables are set per SOPs.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy and well-presented; clear dirty crockery and replenish throughout the day.
• Replenish fresh homemade cakes/biscuits, finger foods and fresh fruit in bistro areas.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

Job description

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident's dietary requirements.
