Job summary

Chestnut is seeking an organised Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee the Front of House at The Black Lion. You will work with the General and Assistant Manager to deliver a welcoming guest experience and maintain a clean, efficient service.

You will supervise daily FOH operations, manage cash handling, coordinate with the kitchen, and report to the managers. We offer incentives, development, and staff discounts as part of a supportive hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and delivering a great guest experience.
• Supervise and coordinate daily FOH operations, leading by example.
• Team player with a welcoming attitude and willingness to grow.
• Good understanding of wet/dry stock and stock control.
• Accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Report to Assistant/General Manager with concerns about team or property.

You will work closely with the General and Assistant Manager to host our guests through an enjoyable hospitality experience by overseeing the Front of House team at The The Black Lion .

Job requirements:

• To be an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and take pride in delivering a great guest experience
• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the front of house team, leading by example
• Being a team players interested in expanding their knowledge and contributing to a welcoming pub atmosphere and expanding our positive company ethos here at Chestnut
• Having a good understanding of wet/dry stock
• Handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth food services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Reporting back to the Assistant/General manager with any concerns regarding team/property
