Job summary

Chestnut is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee the Front of House team at The Black Lion in East Anglia. You will work with the General and Assistant Manager to host guests and ensure a high-quality hospitality experience.

Ideally you are enthusiastic, a strong team player, and enjoy a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll help manage stock, handle cash, and coordinate with the kitchen to deliver smooth service while contributing to a supportive company ethos.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about high-quality, local ingredients and guest experience.
• Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations.
• Be a team player and contribute to a welcoming pub atmosphere.
• Good understanding of wet/dry stock.
• Handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
• Work closely with kitchen for smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Report to managers with any concerns.

You will work closely with the General and Assistant Manager to host our guests through an enjoyable hospitality experience by overseeing the Front of House team at The The Black Lion .

Job requirements:

• To be an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and take pride in delivering a great guest experience
• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the front of house team, leading by example
• Being a team players interested in expanding their knowledge and contributing to a welcoming pub atmosphere and expanding our positive company ethos here at Chestnut
• Having a good understanding of wet/dry stock
• Handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth food services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Reporting back to the Assistant/General manager with any concerns regarding team/property
