Salary: £28,700 per year plus service charge

JOB OVERVIEW

The Restaurant Floor Manager works closely with the Restaurant Management and supports with the commercial performance, management and reputation of the Restaurant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Restaurant Floor Manager, you will:

1. Commercial Performance

1. Support to achieve the restaurant’s targets, considering driving the average check value, team incentives, as well as team member and guest experience.
2. Understand business results - including sales, costs, covers, guest satisfaction - and support with actions to improve performance.
3. Optimise covers using good diary management.

2. Excellent Food & Beverage

1. Deliver high-quality food and drink to satisfy guest’ needs - and social media feeds!
2. Champion Hilton’s sustainability goals through teaching and monitoring proper waste management, and minimizing wastage and single-use items.

3. Exceptional Guest Experiences

1. Lead your shift to deliver exceptional guest experiences, making sure the team provides authentic personalised service and in-depth product knowledge.
2. Develop great customer relationships, recognizing repeat guests, preferences and celebrations to improve loyalty.
3. Review and act on customer feedback, taking quick action to improve service and resolve complaints.
4. Enhance the restaurant’s image through online reputation management, driving positive reviews on key platforms (e.g. TripAdvisor, Google Reviews).
5. Make sure that food allergies and dietary requirements are treated with absolute seriousness at all times.

4. Great Working Environment

1. Support to develop and inspire the restaurant team, creating an inclusive environment where all Team Members can thrive and achieve their professional goals.
2. Practice great people management focusing on training and recognition.
3. Plan daily shift duties efficiently based on forecasted business volumes to adhere to working hours and to minimize overtime.
4. Communicate well and often, building good relationships with your team and key stakeholders.

5. Day-To-Day Essentials

1. Make sure restaurant operations strictly comply with all regulations (including health, safety and hygiene, food safety certification, licensing) and that potentially hazardous situations are identified, reported and corrected.
2. Ensure all restaurant opening and closing procedures are carried out correctly, including financial reports and reconciliations.
3. Maintain operational effectiveness, using efficient steps of service and layout to reduce cycle times.
4. Manage restaurant inventory, stock control and purchasing, following hotel guidelines.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for an inspirational leader who is passionate about food and beverage, with at least two years’ experience in a similar role. London experience within a hotel and high-street restaurant environment would be an advantage.
