Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a friendly Food and Beverage Assistant for Loxley Park Care Home in Sheffield. You will support dining service and assist residents with meals in a warm, caring environment.

Key duties include helping residents choose meals, maintaining dining area standards, and ensuring fresh snacks are available throughout the day. DBS check required; UK eligibility proof provided by Avery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.
• Have experience of working in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel would be desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with choosing meal options at dining time.
• Ensure dining tables are set according to SOPs.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy, and well-presented; clear and replenish crockery.
• Replenish fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fresh fruit in the cafe/bistro areas.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
