Job summary

Culina Group, Warrens is seeking a Transport Planner to join on a full-time, permanent basis. You will plan and coordinate transport activities, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently while maximizing resource utilisation and supporting performance.

The role offers a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off days from 6:00 to 18:00 with a salary of up to £33,000, emphasizing strong organisation and adaptability in a FMCG-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of UK geography and routes.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Experience planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots.
• Experience with a Transport Management System (TMS).
• Strong communication and customer-focus under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transport activities to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Input trailer numbers and check resource availability for shifts.
• Monitor time lapsed, empty legs and parking reports for utilisation.
• Complete microlise debriefs and maintain accurate operational records.
• Confirm driver start times and manage resource requirements for next day.
• Monitor drivers hours and compliance, escalating concerns.
• Communicate with drivers and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Manage transport plans aligned with customer volume demands.
• Support the Transport Manager with back-to-back planning and prep.
• Provide updates during peak periods such as F1 season.
