Job summary

Anderson Scott Solutions is seeking an experienced Artwork Administrator in Wednesbury to join a fast-paced FMCG team. The role reports to the NPD Manager and requires strong administrative skills, high organisation, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

You will manage packaging design projects, proof artworks, coordinate with printers, and maintain image libraries while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of high-level administration experience, preferably in a food organisation, with full training provided.
• Able to work in a fast and pressurised environment.
• Ability to prioritise and manage own workload methodically.
• Experience of SAP, Access and Excel.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong command of English and attention to detail.
• Previous packaging experience—working with design houses, artwork, cutter guides and barcodes—would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage all packaging design projects and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proof-read, approve and file packaging artwork, ensuring regulatory requirements, barcodes and ingredient declarations are correct.
• Follow NPD/Artwork processes and keep related documents updated.
• Provide progress updates in weekly project management or NPD meetings via email, Teams and meetings.
• Liaise with printers to understand print processes and ensure timely delivery.
• Check samples against final repro files and assess print quality and colour accuracy.
• Maintain the image library on the shared drive and share artwork images with Marketing or Management as needed.
• Despatch packaging/colour swatches as required by the artwork process.
• Work with Marketing to keep images up to date and properly filed.
• Request barcodes for new artwork and verify barcodes methodically.
• Conduct barcode checks on first-time items to ensure correct scanning and final repro PDFs.
• Perform any other admin-related tasks as required by management.
