Job summary

Talent Guardian is seeking an organised Artwork Coordinator for their Wednesbury site. You will manage packaging artwork from brief to final print, coordinating with internal teams, customers and external design houses in a fast-paced food business.

The role requires 2+ years in food packaging/artwork, strong admin skills, and proficiency in SAP, Access and Excel. Office-based, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with artwork and relevant legislation.
• At least 2 years' experience within a food business.
• At least 1 year's packaging experience, including exposure to design houses, artwork, cutter guides and barcodes.
• Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency in SAP, Access and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate packaging design and artwork across internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proofread and approve packaging artwork for barcodes, ingredients, colours and regulatory compliance.
• Follow NPD and artwork processes, ensuring documentation is completed on time.
• Provide regular updates through meetings and emails.
• Coordinate with printers to meet print requirements and ensure quality.
• Maintain an organized image library and update Brandbank imagery.
• Support with additional admin tasks as needed.

Artwork Coordinator

Talent Guardian are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food business for an organised and detail-focused Artwork Coordinator to join their team at their Wednesbury site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience across packaging, artwork or food manufacturing who enjoys managing multiple projects, working with different teams and making sure every detail is right.

Working closely with NPD, Technical, Sales, Commercial, external design houses, customers and suppliers, you'll play an important role in taking packaging artwork projects from initial brief through to final approval and print.

What you'll be doing

• Manage packaging design and artwork projects, coordinating with internal teams, customers, suppliers and external design houses.
• Proofread, check and approve packaging artwork, ensuring accuracy across barcodes, ingredient declarations, colours and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Follow the NPD and artwork process, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Provide regular updates on artwork projects and progress through meetings, email and Teams.
• Liaise with printers to understand print requirements and help achieve the best possible final result.
• Check samples against final repro files, reviewing print quality, colours and overall accuracy.
• Maintain an organised and up-to-date image library.
• Work alongside Marketing to ensure imagery is current and correctly maintained on Brandbank.
• Request and methodically check barcodes for new packaging and artwork.
• Carry out barcode checks on new packaging to ensure products scan correctly.
• Support with additional administrative tasks when required.
