Job summary

Talent Guardian are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food business for an Artwork Coordinator to join their Wednesbury team. The role focuses on managing packaging artwork from brief through to final approval and print, coordinating with NPD, Technical, Sales and external design houses to ensure accuracy.

You will proofread artwork, check barcodes and ingredient declarations, maintain an up-to-date image library, and keep stakeholders informed through meetings and emails.

Qualifications

• Experience with artwork and relevant legislation.
• At least 2 years' experience within a food business.
• At least 1 year's packaging experience, including exposure to design houses, artwork, cutter guides and barcodes.
• Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency in SAP, Access and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage packaging design and artwork projects, coordinating with internal teams, customers, suppliers and external design houses.
• Proofread, check and approve packaging artwork, ensuring accuracy across barcodes, ingredient declarations, colours and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Follow the NPD and artwork process, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Provide regular updates on artwork projects and progress through meetings, email and Teams.
• Liaise with printers to understand print requirements and help achieve the best possible final result.
• Check samples against final repro files, reviewing print quality, colours and overall accuracy.
• Maintain an organised and up-to-date image library.
• Work alongside Marketing to ensure imagery is current and correctly maintained on Brandbank.
• Request and methodically check barcodes for new packaging and artwork.
• Carry out barcode checks on new packaging to ensure products scan correctly.
• Support with additional administrative tasks when required.]

Talent Guardian are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food business for an organised and detail-focused Artwork Coordinator to join their team at their Wednesbury site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience across packaging, artwork or food manufacturing who enjoys managing multiple projects, working with different teams and making sure every detail is right.

Working closely with NPD, Technical, Sales, Commercial, external design houses, customers and suppliers, you'll play an important role in taking packaging artwork projects from initial brief through to final approval and print.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, methodical and confident managing their own workload in a busy, fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience working with artwork and relevant legislation.
• At least 2 years' experience within a food business.
• At least 1 year's packaging experience, including exposure to design houses, artwork, cutter guides and barcodes.
• Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency in SAP, Access and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
