Job summary

Page Personnel is seeking a Multiskilled Shift Engineer - Supervisor in Wrexham, Wales, to lead a small team and oversee maintenance on production and packaging lines within FMCG. The role focuses on rapid fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and adherence to food safety standards, while driving continuous improvements and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance in FMCG environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive maintenance approach.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in engineering/manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead on shift team of engineers (3 direct reports per shift).
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with fault diagnosis and repair.
• Ensure machinery operates in line with food safety standards (HACCP).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Monitor utilities (steam, refrigeration, compressed air).
• Identify root causes of recurring faults and implement corrective actions.
