Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment in Basingstoke. You will manage a small direct team and a larger indirect workforce, collaborating with supply chain, warehousing and quality functions, and reporting to the Operations Director.

You will own production planning, scheduling, and the site’s safety and compliance, driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives while building a strong succession

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Production/Manufacturing Manager in FMCG
• Experience managing multi-skilled teams across production
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Hands-on, shop-floor and planning experience
• Good analytical skills using KPIs to drive decisions
• Clear communicator across functions (Warehouse, Quality)
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations, planning and scheduling through the Production Manager
• Oversee Engineering and maintenance with Engineers and external contractors
• Drive Health & Safety compliance in the department
• Deliver continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing
• Coach and develop a team of 3 direct reports and ~30 indirect reports
