Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an FM Assistant Band 2 to help maintain clean, hygienic environments across North Essex sites, with duties spanning cleaning, temperature recording for cook/chill meals, and supporting in-house facilities services.

You will work on various sites such as Colchester and Clacton, with flexible hours and days discussed with the manager if shortlisted for interview.

Job overview FM Assistant Band 2 - £12.92 per hour (£25,272 per annum pro rata) Various Sites within North Essex - e.g. Colchester/Clacton and Admin Units Various Hours/Days Available - If you're selected for interview, you can discuss the hours/days with the manager

Clean all areas required in the work schedules which include toilets, corridors, offices, clinic rooms, store rooms. etc which includes dusting, mopping, wiping, changing bins.

To assist with the regeneration process of cook freeze meals by taking and recording the temperature of the cook chill food prior to placing it into the regeneration oven and commencing the cook cycle which will include ensuring temperatures are recorded at the end of the regeneration cycle and for plating food

To be responsible for the cleaning of crockery and cutlery that is used for the serving of patient’s meals.

Main duties of the job

To participate in the provision of the in-house FM services to a specified area within the Trust, which may include in-patient wards, admin/clinical areas and retail outlets.

The FM services comprises of the cleaning, catering, portering, bed making and laundering services, however some of these services are unit specific. Therefore sections of this job description may not be relevant to all staff and will be identified where appropriate but are not exhaustive

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients, trust staff and visitors in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.

As part of the Facilities Team you are expected to have a flexible approach, excellent interpersonal, customer skills, the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise your duties to the role.
