Job summary

Florette is recruiting a Yard Operative at our Lichfield site (WS13 8NF). The role focuses on maintaining hygiene standards and clearing rubbish across the site, with duties including managing skips and compactors and ensuring safety compliance.

Working hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–6pm. A valid FLT licence and Food Safety qualifications, plus a flexible approach to hours, are required. Competitive hourly pay plus benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic written and spoken English required.
• Food Safety Qualification required.
• Flexible approach to work and hours.
• Understanding and adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
• Occupational Health requirements should be followed.
• Must hold a valid FLT Licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas outside the factory but within site boundaries free from rubbish.
• Maintain the compactors and skips so they are always working correctly and free from build-up around them and fill when required.
• Smoke shelter kept to a high standard and rubbish/cigarettes removed; bins emptied as required.
• Support stores and intake as needed with FLT skills.
• Highlight any food or people safety issues to your manager across the site.
