Job summary

Randstad Inhouse Services seeks a Forklift Operator for an on-site role in Peterlee. 36.5 hours weekly, 24-month fixed-term contract through Nov 2027, with day/afternoon/night shift options and 1st-year pay uplifts.

Starting pay ranges from day £14.13–£16.22, with 20% afternoon and 35% night premiums; overtime 1.5x Mon-Sat and 2x on Sundays. Must have ≥1 year forklift experience and a counterbalance licence. Free parking and benefits apply.

• Operating counterbalance forklift.
• Using other MHEs such as reach, flexi, pedstacker, bradshaw, linde, hilop and combi.

• Replenishing the lines, offloading wagons and picking parts from the warehouse.

Job description

The Role: Forklift Operator

Location: Peterlee (On-site)

Contract: 24 months fixed term assignment till Nov 2027

Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Excellent Pay Rates: (4% pay increase from 1st October)

Day Shift: £14.13 - £16.22 per hour

Afternoon Shift (20% premium): £16.96 - £19.46 per hour

Night Shift (35% premium): £19.08 - £21.90 per hour

Overtime 1.5 (Mon-Sat): £21.20- £24.33 per hour

Overtime 2 (Sundays): £28.26- £32.44 per hour

Shift Timings:

• Days: 08:00 - 16:00 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00 - 12:30 (Fri)
• Afternoons: 16:00 - 00:00 (Mon-Thurs), 12:30 - 17:00 (Fri)
• Nights: 00:00 - 08:00 (Mon-Thurs), 17:00 - 21:30 (Fri)

What You'll Need:

At least 1 year of FLT/Forklift Truck operating experience.

A Counterbalance licence (can be out of date)
