Job summary

Westray Recruitment is seeking an experienced FLT Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Hartlepool. This temporary-to-permanent role requires a valid, externally accredited Counterbalance FLT licence and prior warehouse experience.

You will move stock, load/unload containers, and support goods-in/goods-out processes during a structured training period with early and late shifts. After training, you’ll work continental day/night shifts (12 hours) and have the opportunity

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
• Externally accredited FLT qualification (RTITB/ITSSAR/NPORS or equivalent)
• Previous Counterbalance FLT experience
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Experience working safely in a busy environment
• Able to work training shifts 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00
• Able to progress to 12-hour continental day/night shifts
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and responsible
• Willing to perform manual handling and general warehouse duties
• Team player
• Full CV detailing employment history
• In-date, externally accredited Counterbalance FLT licence required
• UK driving licence advantageous

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Load and unload vehicles and containers
• Move, stack and store pallets in warehouse
• Support goods-in/goods-out operations
• Check stock and report discrepancies
• Prepare goods and pallets for dispatch
• Perform general palletising duties
• Learn and operate specialist machinery as required
• Carry out manual handling and general duties
• Work safely in busy areas
• Maintain clean, safe, organised workplace
• Follow site procedures and H&S requirements
• Support wider warehouse operations as needed
