Job summary

Proman Recruitment is seeking FLT Counterbalance Operators in St Helens (WA9) with AM 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm shifts. Long-term temp-to-perm after 12 weeks; rate £13.40 per hour.

You will move goods on pallets, stack into bays, check loads, perform daily machinery checks, and assist with loading/unloading. A valid FLT Counterbalance license and a driving licence are required; punctual, reliable and able to prioritise workload.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license/certificate to operate an FLT Counterbalance.
• Must have a valid Driving Licence.
• Punctual and reliable individuals.
• Able to organise and prioritise workload.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Stack goods in the correct storage bays following stock control instructions.
• Check that loads are secure.
• Stack empty pallets as required.
• Perform daily equipment checks (e.g., recharge battery).
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks where necessary.
